What goes under the surface

Most concrete fails from below. Frost heave, a thin base or missing steel will crack a slab no matter how good it looks on day one. This is how we build a typical driveway, as our standard rather than an upgrade.

Randy, Presley and crew

Langille is run by Randy and Presley Langille. When you call, you talk to the people who’ll be on your site, and they stay on it until it’s done.

Randy or Presley walks every site and writes every quote. We live here too, so we build for the same winters our work has to survive.

Questions we get

Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, call 782-440-7851.

How long before I can drive on new concrete?

Foot traffic after a day or two, cars after about a week. Concrete keeps gaining strength for about a month, so Langille will give you a date for heavy trucks too.

Do you pour in cold weather?

Yes, within limits. Below about 5°C Langille uses blankets and accelerators or reschedules; we will tell you which at quote time.

Concrete or asphalt?

Concrete costs more up front and lasts longer with less upkeep. Langille will price both options honestly if you are unsure.

Do you do more than concrete?

Yes. Along with driveways and site work, Langille takes on additions, garages, renovations, decks and porches, roofing, siding and framing across Pictou County.

Do you handle permits and locates?

Langille books utility locates on every job and tells you if your town needs a permit.
