A family crew from New Glasgow
Langille Concrete & Contracting is run by Randy and Presley Langille. When you call, you talk to the people who’ll be on your site, and they stay on it until it’s done.

We started in concrete and site work, the part of a job that is hardest to fix later. Today the same crew builds what goes on top of it: additions, decks, roofs, siding and renovations across Pictou County.

Who will be on my job?
Our own crew. Randy or Presley walks every site and writes every quote, and the same people who measured your job are the ones who build it.
That matters more than it sounds. The person who promised you a slope away from the house is the person standing on the forms making sure it happens. Where a job needs licensed trades, like electrical or plumbing, we bring them in and schedule them, and we stay responsible for the result.
The mayflower is Nova Scotia’s provincial flower. It blooms through the last of the snow, which is roughly the standard we hold our work to.
What you can count on
Not slogans. These are the things we do on every job, and you can hold us to them.
A visit before a price
We look at the site, the drainage and the access before we put a number on anything.
Itemized, in writing
Removal, base, steel, concrete and finish each get their own line, so you can see what you are paying for.
Locates on every job
Dig Safe utility locates are booked before we break ground. No exceptions.
A call each morning
During the build you hear from us each morning: what is happening today and when to move the car.
A clean site
Forms pulled, edges backfilled, debris hauled away and the area swept before we call it done.
A walkthrough at the end
We walk the finished work with you and give you dates for foot traffic, cars and heavy trucks.

How a job works
Get the ground right, write the price down, and keep you posted.
- 01
Site visit
We come out, measure, check drainage and talk through finishes. No charge.
- 02
Written quote
An itemized price and a start window. Dig Safe locates booked before we break ground.
- 03
Build
Removal, base, forms and pour, usually over a few days. We keep you posted each morning.
- 04
Cure and walkthrough
We strip forms, backfill, clean up, and tell you when it’s safe to walk and drive on.
Why do we spend so long on the base?
Because that’s where Nova Scotia concrete fails. Frost gets into soft soil, lifts the slab, and drops it back unevenly in spring. A thin base or missing steel will crack a slab no matter how good the finish looks on day one.
So we dig to solid ground, compact crushed gravel, set steel, pour air-entrained concrete made for freeze-thaw, and cut the joints the same day. The same thinking carries into everything we build: get what’s underneath right first.
Why a family business?
Because our name is on the truck, and we live here. The work we do on your street is the work your neighbours walk past when they’re deciding who to call. We would rather take a little longer and have it look right in ten years.
